Job summary

Lime Wood Hotel in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to work alongside the Restaurant General Manager and drive daily operations of Hartnett Holder & Co, the restaurant inside our five-star property. You will maintain high service standards, train staff, manage stock and budgets, and step in during the GM’s absence.

A people-focused leader with a passion for memorable guest experiences is essential; prior assistant manager experience in a similar setting

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager within a similar environment is essential.
• We are ideally seeking someone who is people-focused and a natural leader.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining high standards of customer service within Hartnett Holder & Co.
• Work closely with the Restaurant General Manager to drive standards across the restaurant.
• Ensure all food handling and safety measures are met and compliant.
• Present on the floor, leading from the front and supporting the team.
• Support staff training and development.
• Step up in the Restaurant General Manager's absence, overseeing rotation and day-to-day operations.
• Deal with and resolve guest complaints.
• Develop and build relationships with suppliers, managing stock, orders and budgeting.
• Assist with staffing requirements, including external recruitment.
