A healthcare practice in Wilmslow is looking for an Assistant Reception Manager to support the smooth operation of the reception team. The role involves managing staff rotas, handling patient inquiries, and ensuring excellent service quality. Ideal candidates should possess strong communication and organisational skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a busy environment. Flexibility is required to cover sickness and holidays.
An exciting opportinity has arisen for the appointment of an Assistant Reception Manager to join our Practice in Wilmslow.
The Reception team consists of 10 staff members and the reception manager. They all cover a variety of shifts to cover opening times of the surgery 8.00am - 6.30pm and also our late evenings on a Wednesday and Thursday when we are open until 8.30pm.
Your role will be to support the Reception Manager and the Team with the with the smooth running of the department.
Management Duties alongside Reception duties. Staff rotas, annual leave requests, staff training, answering of telephone, making of appointments, welcoming patients and visitors, listening and understanding patients needs, resolving queries or signposting patients to the appropriate service or appointment.

3 Partners, 8 Salaried GPs, 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners, 4 Nurses and 2 HCA's.
Training Practice - Registrars and Medical students.
Active participation in local PCN.
Stable clinical and management team.

CQC rating is good.

As part of the team you wouldbe expected to provide an excellent service to our patients.
The work is varied andinteresting it includes Management Duties alongside Reception duties whichinclude answering the phone, making appointments, welcoming patients andvisitors, listening and understanding patients needs, resolving queries orsignposting patients to the appropriate service or appointment.
You need to be well motivatedand friendly with good people skills, enjoy working in a busy environment andbeing part of a team. You will be able to communicate clearly and effectively,showing understanding, care and assertiveness when appropriate.
You will be capable ofdeveloping good administrative and organisational skills and have experience ofusing computers.
Experience of working inhealthcare is not essential as long as you possess the above qualities and arewilling and eager to learn new skills and are flexible in your approach towork.
We will provide in-housetraining and continuing support.
