Job summary

O'Neill & Brennan is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support a live MOD refurbishment project in the Portsmouth area, with responsibilities split between the Surrey office, the Hampshire site, and remote work.

The ideal candidate will hold a UK Quantity Surveying qualification or be working toward it, with a few years in main contracting and refurbishment. Familiarity with JCT, NEC or bespoke contract forms is beneficial; right to work in the UK and commute to Portsmouth is required.

Qualifications

• UK Quantity Surveying qualification or working towards.
• A few years of experience in main contracting and refurbishment.
• Familiarity with JCT, NEC or bespoke contract forms is beneficial.
• Must live within a reasonable commute to Portsmouth and have the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Assist on the MOD refurbishment project in the Portsmouth area, coordinating across Surrey, Hampshire and remote work.
• Support main contracting activities and cost reporting for the live project.
• Cover different contract forms (JCT, Bespoke, NEC) as needed.
• Liaise with site teams to manage quantities, forecasts and variances.
