Job summary

Linxon in Didcot is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our on-site team on a 400kV substation project delivered under NEC 4 Option C. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will help manage costs, contracts, and commercial performance to ensure value and on-time delivery.

You will monitor costs, prepare forecasts, handle subcontractor payments, administer the NEC contract, manage compensation events, and produce CVRs and financial updates for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, commercial management, or related field.
• Experience with NEC4 contracts, especially Option C, is highly desirable.
• Strong financial management and cost-control capabilities.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control project costs to keep the project within budget.
• Administer the NEC 4 Option C contract and manage compensation events.
• Prepare cost forecasts and CVRs, and provide regular financial updates.
• Collaborate with client, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure commercial success.
