Job summary

Thames Water invites applications for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support cost management, commercial assurance, and contract administration across a portfolio of projects. You will work under a Senior Quantity Surveyor, focusing on value for money and contractual compliance, with opportunities to handle projects from £25k to £200M.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying, practical experience, and an interest in progressing toward Chartered status, with hybrid working from

Qualifications

Practical experience in cost management and contract administration.
Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent required.
Aim to progress toward Chartered status during employment.
Familiarity with water sector regulations is a plus.
Strong relationship and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Assist with commercial assurance of major projects and programmes.
Support tender evaluations for small-value projects.
Ensure timely contract payments for your portfolio.
Assess contract variations on assigned projects.
