Linear Recruitment are working with a Nottingham-based new build housing developer to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for their commercial team. This role suits someone currently in housebuilding or construction/civils seeking progression and a stable office.

You will manage day-to-day cost control, subcontractor payments and provide financial reporting. You will be required to demonstrate degree or technical qualification, QS experience with a house builder, and knowledge of COINS

Qualifications

• Degree or technical qualification required.
• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a house builder.
• Strong commercial awareness and budget control.
• Proven track record delivering contracts on time and within budget.
• COINS experience.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of supply chain management.
• RICS or CIOB qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Control all expenditure on projects.
• Reconcile cost/value reports and profit forecasts.
• On-boarding of Sub contractors/suppliers.
• Ensure value for money and financial assessments.
• Manage day-to-day cost control, monitoring and reporting.
• Process subcontractor payment applications and invoices.
• Attend project and company meetings.
• Ensure timely cash flow management.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and customers.
