Job summary

Linxon in Middleton, Heysham, seeks an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and contractual delivery of civil, electrical, and commissioning works. This role involves developing core QS skills such as measurement, valuation, change control, and cost reporting, while also learning NEC4 contract administration.

Qualifications include a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field, alongside strong numeracy and Excel skills. Successful candidates will gain practical experience in a live utilities environment.

Qualifications

• Degree (or final-year/just-graduated) in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related discipline.
• Strong numeracy and Excel skills.
• Interest in NEC3/NEC4 forms and infrastructure delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist with take-offs, site measures, monthly valuations and payment applications.
• Help prepare and track Early Warnings (EWN) and Compensation Events (CEN).
• Support drafting instructions, scopes and RFQs/RFPs.
