Wates Smartspace in the UK delivers fit-out, refurbishment and maintenance services across the Southern region. As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the Commercial Team with budgets, cost estimates and financial reporting to keep projects on track.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost estimation, budgeting and tender processes.
• Familiar with final accounts, cost reconciliation and subcontractor dealings.
• Willingness to travel to multiple sites and work with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation: prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender documents.
• Subcontractor Management: handle subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments.
• Cost Monitoring: track project costs and identify financial risks or opportunities.
• Reporting: assist in cost reports and forecasts for accurate tracking.
• Site Visits: attend site visits to monitor progress and ensure contractual compliance.
• Final Accounts: support final accounts and settlement of claims.
• Collaboration: work with project teams to ensure smooth delivery.
