Job summary

Wates Smartspace is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support projects across the Northern region. You will manage costs, ensure value for money, and oversee the project lifecycle from inception to completion.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost management and budgeting.
• Experience negotiating contracts, valuations and payments with subcontractors.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender documents to ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage subcontractor accounts, including negotiating contracts, handling valuations, and processing payments.
• Provide accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts and cost analysis to support project decisions.
• Lead the preparation of final accounts and settle costs, including contractual claims.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
