Job summary

Dragados UK & Ireland is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and contractual management of the West Suffolk Hospital project. You will assist in cost control, procurement, valuations and contract administration, helping the team deliver work packages within budget and contract requirements.

Working with the Commercial Lead and senior colleagues, you will help prepare tender documentation, assess changes, manage contractor valuations and final accounts, and maintain

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Experience in commercial management on construction projects.
• Experience with Joint Venture arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial management and contract administration.
• Support cost management, budgets and cashflow.
• Assist with compensation events, claims, and change control.
• Assist with tender documentation, tender returns and schedules of rates.
• Assist with contractor valuations, payment applications and final accounts.
• Support reporting, cost audits and close-out activities.
• Review project instructions for commercial implications and escalate issues.
• Support commercial negotiations and resolve financial and contractual matters.
