Job summary

Galliford Try, Stansted, is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Asset Intelligence team. You will support the Quantity Surveyor and Senior Quantity Surveyor in delivering commercial duties across Asset Intelligence projects, with a focus on cost control, procurement, reporting and governance, while adhering to company processes.

You will attend site regularly to support measurements, progress reviews and documentation, assist with cash flow forecasting and client submissions, and

Qualifications

• Experience or strong interest in quantity surveying, commercial management or construction.
• Degree, HNC/HND or working towards QS/commercial qualification.
• Basic understanding of cost control, measurement, procurement and reporting.
• Awareness of standard contract forms; NEC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial management of Asset Intelligence projects with QS teams.
• Monitor project progress, risks, changes and commercial impacts.
• Attend site to support measurements, progress reviews and records.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting, client applications and budgeting.
• Support management of cash, WIP and debt to maximise cash flow.
• Review subcontractor payments and administer subcontract documents.
