Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a recent university graduate to join as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in Poole, Dorset. You will support procurement, subcontractor accounts on site, valuations, and final accounts while developing exposure to CAT A, A+, and B schemes across sectors.

You should have a construction-related degree, some practical experience, and the right to work in the UK, with a willingness to commute to Poole.

We have an excellent opportunity for a recent university graduate to join a specialist interior design and fit-out contractor based in Poole, Dorset as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. The business undertakes projects across the commercial, education, hospitality, and public sectors, and cover designs, pre-construction, fit-out, and furniture on CAT A, A+, and B schemes. As a result of some recent project wins, they're now looking to expand their team with an additional Assistant Quantity Surveyor.

About the role of Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be working on a project valued between 50k - 2.0m.

Key Responsibilities as Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

• Help to manage subcontract procurement
• Help to manage subcontractors accounts on site, dealing with variations
• Help to manage monthly valuations and liaise with the client
• Help to deal with final accounts

Key Requirements for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor position:

• Have a recent construction-related degree
• Have some kind of practical experience
• Must have the full right to work in the UK
• Must live within commutable distance to Poole
