Job summary

Eden Brown is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in Central London to join its growing commercial team. You will work with senior QS and commercial managers across tender, procurement, cost plans and final accounts on high-profile fit-out projects.

The role offers exposure to CAT A/B works, strong numerical focus, and a clear progression path within a design-led contractor environment in London.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified or studying towards a Quantity Surveying or related construction degree.
• Experience in QS, Assistant QS or Commercial Assistant roles is preferred.
• Experience in fit-out, refurbishment or construction projects is advantageous.
• Strong commercial awareness and numerical accuracy.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the commercial management of multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects.
• Support cost plans, budgets and tender submissions.
• Procure subcontractor packages and analyse quotations.
• Assist with contract administration and document management.
• Prepare payment applications and client valuations.
• Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Support CVR reporting and forecasting activities.
• Manage subcontractor accounts and payment processes.
• Assist with final account negotiations and close-out.

A highly respected workplace design and build specialist is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team in London.

The Role

Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers, you will gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, from tender and procurement through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the commercial management of multiple fit out and refurbishment projects
• Supporting the preparation of cost plans, budgets and tender submissions
• Procuring subcontractor packages and analysing quotations
• Assisting with contract administration and document management
• Preparing applications for payment and client valuations
• Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Assessing and managing variations throughout the project lifecycle
• Supporting monthly CVR reporting and forecasting activities
• Managing subcontractor accounts and payment processes
• Assisting with final account negotiations and project close-out

Candidate Requirements

• Degree qualified or studying towards a degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline
• Previous experience within a Quantity Surveying, Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Assistant role
• Experience within fit out, refurbishment or construction projects would be advantageous
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Excellent numerical, analytical and organisational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard commercial software
• Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach
• Ambitious, driven and eager to progress within a commercial career
