Job description

Job Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor

Reports to: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: North London, site visits 2-3 days per week

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing variation submissions with necessary substantiation, such as measurements, scope of works documents, site reports, populating daywork sheets, and pricing variations from both first principles and contract rates.
• Prepare cost reports and forecasts based on labour, plant, and material expenditures.
• Assist in preparing tender documentation for key sub-contractors, including scope of works, bid analysis, and tender comparisons.
• Assist in contract administration with clients and sub-contractors.

Requirements

• HND/HNC/BSc in Quantity Surveying.
• 2-5 years experience in the construction industry.
• Demonstrable desire to join a specialist sub-contractor, especially if coming from a developer/main contractor background.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment, and meet client deadlines.
