About the role
Balfour Beatty is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our growing commercial team supporting the ASTI programme across the North East of Scotland.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring or developing Quantity Surveyor to build their career on one of Scotland’s most significant infrastructure programmes.
The ASTI programme forms a key part of the investment being made in Scotland’s electricity transmission network, delivering the infrastructure required to support increased renewable energy generation and the transition towards a lower‑carbon energy system.
Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors, Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers, you will gain hands‑on exposure to the commercial delivery of major infrastructure projects while developing your technical and professional capability.
As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial team in ensuring projects are delivered successfully, commercially and in accordance with Balfour Beatty procedures.

You’ll ideally have:
Experience within civil engineering, utilities, power, infrastructure or major construction projects would be advantageous, although we're equally interested in candidates with the right commercial foundations and ambition to develop.
