Job summary

Bimplus seeks an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Norfolk team on a full-time, on-site basis. You will work on heritage restoration, sustainable construction and bespoke building projects across East Anglia, supporting cost management from pre-construction to final account and developing commercially sound solutions.

You will assist with valuations, variations and subcontractor payments, while helping procurement and maintaining commercial records.

Qualifications

• Experience in a QS or Assistant QS role.
• Experience in construction, refurbishment or specialist projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive and organised approach to work.
• Qualifications in QS or Construction Management or working towards them.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project cost management from pre-construction through final account.
• Prepare and review valuations, variations and subcontractor payments.
• Support procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor project costs and identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Assist with contract administration and maintain commercial records.
• Collaborate with site teams, clients and supply chain partners.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Assisting with project cost management from pre-construction through to final account.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience within a Quantity Surveying or Assistant Quantity Surveying role.
• Experience within construction, refurbishment or specialist building projects.
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and relationship building skills.
• A proactive and organised approach to work.
• Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or working towards them.
