Job summary

RG Setsquare is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a projects and facilities management team supporting a major secure estate in Corsham, Wiltshire. The role offers hands-on exposure across the full project lifecycle, including tendering, procurement, subcontract management, cost reporting and forecasting.

You will work alongside experienced commercial professionals, develop strong commercial skills, and benefit from structured on-the-job training with clear opportunities for career

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a QS, commercial, procurement or project support position.
• Experience in construction, facilities management or the MoD/secure estate is advantageous.
• Understanding of NEC and/or JCT contracts would be beneficial.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads.
• Good attention to detail and a commercial mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Genuine interest in developing a long-term career in Quantity Surveying/commercial management.

Responsibilities

Wiltshire | £Competitive | Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a projects and facilities management team supporting a major secure estate in Corsham, Wiltshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and detail-focused individual looking to develop their career within Quantity Surveying and commercial management. You will work alongside experienced commercial professionals and gain hands-on exposure across the full project lifecycle, including tendering, procurement, subcontract management, cost reporting and forecasting.

The Role

• Assess tender returns for accuracy, compliance and value for money.

• Assist with the preparation and placement of subcontract orders, ensuring clear scopes and commercial terms.


• Support the development of scopes of work, activity schedules and pricing templates.
