Key Responsibilities
- As an assistant quantity surveyor you will provide full Quantity Surveying support for concrete repair projects across the UK.
- You will prepare and analyse costings for tenders and quotations, with a focus on project pricing.
- As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will manage the commercial aspects of contracts from tender through to final account.
- You will conduct valuations and monitor project finances to ensure value for money.
- Submit and negotiate interim and final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
- As an Assistant Quantity surveyor you will monitor and control budgets, identifying risks or cost overruns early.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and wider commercial and delivery teams.
- Contribute to monthly CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations) and financial reporting.
- Ensure contractual compliance and application of industry best practices.
- Attend client meetings and site visits as needed.
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a QS role within construction, or building services.
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders nationwide.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant QS software.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel as required
