Job summary

KM Education Recruitment Limited is seeking an Assistant Quality Manager (Teaching and Learning) for a centre-based role in London. You will drive quality across teaching, learning, assessment and behaviours within Vocational, Employability and Functional Skills provisions.

You will oversee learner inductions, support class allocations, deliver CPD, and equip staff to improve teaching practice. You will maintain the quality toolkit and report on performance, deputising for the Education Manager

Qualifications

• Level 5 Teaching Qualification is required.
• IQA qualification or willingness to work towards it.
• Experience managing curriculum development, quality systems, processes and staff performance.
• Ability to inspire, lead and motivate teaching staff and learners.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Drive centre-wide quality across teaching, learning, assessment and behaviour.
• Oversee inductions and learner allocation to classes.
• Advocate for client values and procedures across teaching and learning.
• Undertake quality assurance of teaching, neurodiversity and reading processes.
• Maintain and update the quality toolkit and report learning insights.
• Coach and support teaching staff to improve practice and implement action plans.
• Coordinate and deliver CPD sessions.
• Deliver induction training to new starters within the teaching department.
• Carry out thorough reviews following observations, self-assessments and feedback.
• Deputise for the Education Manager as required.

Duties:

• Responsible fordriving forward the education centresquality,performance and improvements acrossteaching and learning, assessment and behaviours, for their Vocational, Employability and Functional Skills provisions.
• Overseeing the induction of learners, and allocation to classes.
• Be an advocate for our client's values and procedures across all areas of teaching and learning.
• Undertakequalityassurance of teaching, neurodiversity and reading processes.
• Responsible for maintaining thequalitytoolkit to ensure it remains up to date and information is reported and shared.
• Support and coach teachingstaff towards improving and developing teaching practice - ensuring action plans for teaching and learning are achieved
• Coordinate and deliver CPD
• Deliver induction training to new starters within the teaching department.
• Carry out thorough reviews throughout the yearfollowing observations, self-assessments,identifiedtrends andfeedback etc.

Essential Criteria:

• Must hold a recognised Level 5 Teaching Qualification.
• Hold - or be willing to work towards - a recognised IQA qualification.
