Job summary

KM Recruitment is recruiting an Assistant Quality Manager (Teaching and Learning) to drive centre-based education quality across teaching, learning, assessment and behaviours for Vocational, Employability and Functional Skills provisions.

You will oversee learner induction, allocate learners to classes, champion the client's values, and maintain the quality toolkit. You will also coach staff, deliver CPD, and participate in annual reviews as required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Level 5 Teaching Qualification.
• Hold - or be willing to work towards - a recognised IQA qualification.
• Experience of managing curriculum development, quality systems and staff performance.
• Ability to inspire, lead and motivate teaching staff and learners.

Responsibilities

• Drive the education centre quality, performance and improvements across teaching, learning, assessment and behaviours.
• Overseeing the induction of learners, and allocation to classes.
• Be an advocate for our client's values and procedures across all areas of teaching and learning.
• Undertake quality assurance of teaching, neurodiversity and reading processes.
• Maintain the quality toolkit to ensure it remains up to date and information is reported and shared.
• Support and coach teaching staff towards improving and developing teaching practice - ensuring action plans for teaching and learning are achieved
• Coordinate and deliver CPD
• Deliver induction training to new starters within the teaching department.
• Carry out thorough reviews throughout the year following observations, self-assessments, identified trends and feedback etc.
• Deputise for the Education Manager as required.
