Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Quality Manager (Teaching and Learning) for a centre-based role. You will drive quality improvements across teaching, learning, assessment and behaviours within Vocational, Employability and Functional Skills provisions.

The successful candidate will oversee learner induction, allocate learners to classes, and lead CPD while maintaining the quality toolkit and reporting.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Level 5 Teaching Qualification.
• Hold - or be willing to work towards - a recognised IQA qualification.
• Experience of managing curriculum development, quality systems, processes and the performance of education staff.
• Ability to inspire, lead and motivate teaching staff and learners.

Responsibilities

• Drive centre quality, performance and improvements across teaching, learning, assessment and behaviours.
• Oversee learner induction and class allocations.
• Be an advocate for our client's values and procedures across all areas of teaching and learning.
• Undertake quality assurance of teaching, neurodiversity and reading processes.
• Maintain the quality toolkit to ensure it remains up to date and information is reported and shared.
• Support and coach teaching staff towards improving and developing teaching practice - ensuring action plans for teaching and learning are achieved.
• Coordinate and deliver CPD.
• Deliver induction training to new starters within the teaching department.
• Carry out thorough reviews throughout the year following observations, self-assessments, identified trends and feedback etc.
• Deputise for the Education Manager as required.
