Job summary

The Assistant Psychologist post at Cygnet Fountains supports the Qualified Psychologist with assessments, clinical formulation, care plans and a range of group and individual programmes in an inpatient rehabilitation setting for men with complex mental health needs.

Working full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, you will contribute to audits, research and service development as part of an interdisciplinary team. A BPS-accredited psychology degree and enhanced DBS check are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology at 2:1 or above, or equivalent.
• British Psychological Society (BPS) accredited.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to assessments, scoring and reporting, both verbal and written.
• Support clinical formulation and implement psychological treatment care plans.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate individual and group programmes.
• Carry out administration, audit, research and service development.

Job description

This Assistant Psychologist post sits within Cygnet Fountains, an inpatient rehabilitation service for men with severe and enduring mental illness, some detained under the Mental Health Act. The post supports the Qualified Psychologist with assessments, clinical formulation, care plans, group and individual programmes, and audit and research. It is full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, and works as part of an interdisciplinary team. Entry needs a BPS-accredited psychology degree at 2:1 or above, and an enhanced DBS check is required.
