Do you want to work in an environment where you can use your clinical skills, creativity, and initiative to improve outcomes for people affected by drug and alcohol use?

If this aligns with your aspirations, we have an opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist at the Hull Service with Change Grow Live.

Location: ReNew,Hull. Trafalgar House, 41-45, Beverley Road, Hull, HU3 1XH

Contracted Hours: Full time: 37.5 hours per weekType of contract: Permanent

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist to join our psychology team within a multidisciplinary drug and alcohol treatment service.

The psychology team provides a direct clinical offer for people experiencing substance use difficulties alongside co-occurring mental health needs. In addition, the team plays a key role in supporting the wider service through the development of psychosocial interventions, psychological consultation, staff support, training, reflective practice, and collaborative working with local mental health services.

Working under the supervision of a HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based psychological care. The role will include undertaking psychological assessments and facilitating therapeutic groups, such as our Managing Emotions Group.

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills who is confident engaging with people from diverse backgrounds and facilitating group-based interventions. You will also have strong organisational abilities, attention to detail, and confidence working with service data and reporting systems.

Alongside clinical work, you will play an important role in supporting the ongoing development of the psychology team and its contribution to the service. This will involve coordinating and completing projects, collecting and analysing data, supporting service evaluation and quality improvement initiatives, and helping to develop and implement psychologically informed approaches across the service.

Our national Psychology Team provides connection, peer support, reflective practice, and CPD. Our Assistant Psychologists meet regularly, and we offer support in applying for further training. We embrace diversity, equality and inclusion as evidenced by our commitment to building a team with a variety of backgrounds, skills, and views. We strive to nurture a culture where inclusiveness is a way of being, not an initiative. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, organised, proactive, and enthusiastic about working within a trauma-informed framework.

Our values are to be Compassionate, Open and Bold.
