Job summary

Cygnet Group in Scotland is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to support psychological care at the Scotland Social Care Services sites: Thistle House, Ellen Mhor, Rannaich House, Trinity House and Trinity Lodge. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

You will assist the Qualified Psychologist with assessments, scoring, reporting, care planning, and delivering group and individual programmes, plus administration, audits, research and service development.

Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology with 2:1 or above and equivalence
• BPS accreditation required
• Health care experience preferred, especially in Assistant Psychologist roles
• Interest in interdisciplinary team work
• Master's degree in Psychology preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with assessments, scoring and reporting (verbal/written)
• Contribute to clinical formulation and care plans for psychological treatment
• Plan, deliver and evaluate individual and group programmes
• Handle administration, audits, research and service development

We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join our team at our Scotland Social Care Services: Thistle House, Ellen Mhor, Rannaich House, Trinity House and Trinity Lodge.

This role will be working full time, 40 hours per week (across Monday to Friday).

Your Day-to-Day

We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the psychological care of patients at the service by assisting the Qualified Psychologist with:

• Contributing to assessments, scoring and reporting (verbal / written)
• Clinical formulation and implementing care plans for psychological treatment
• Planning, delivering and evaluating individual / group programmes
• Administration, audit, research and service development

We're looking for someone who is

• Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent
• BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited
• Preferably experienced in health care and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role
• Passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Qualified to Master's degree level or higher in Psychology (preferable)
