Job summary

Cygnet Broughton House and the Satellites in Brant Broughton is seeking an Assistant Psychologist to support the Qualified Psychologist and enhance psychological care.

You'll contribute to assessments, scoring and reporting, develop care plans, deliver group and individual programmes, and participate in research and service development. DBS check required; 40-hour week, Mon-Fri; salary £29,642.55 per year with CPD and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Degree in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent.
• BPS Accredited (British Psychological Society).
• Experience in health care and/or Assistant Psychologist role is preferred.
• Master's degree in Psychology is preferable.
• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Qualified Psychologist with assessments, scoring and reporting.
• Contribute to clinical formulation and care plan development.
• Plan, deliver and evaluate individual and group psychological programmes.
• Assist with administration, audit, research and service development.

The Post Holder Will Be Based At

Broughton House, 12 High Street, Brant Broughton, LN5 0SL and cover other sites within the area.

This role will be working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Broughton House is a 29 bed specialist residential service for adults with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that challenge. We aim to provide a safe, comfortable and effective environment for those in our care, promoting independence and community integration.

Your Day-to-Day...

We are seeking an academically strong candidate to support and enhance the psychological care of patients at the service by assisting the Qualified Psychologist with;

• Contributing to assessments, scoring and reporting (verbal / written)
• Clinical formulation and implementing care plans for psychological treatment
• Planning, delivering and evaluating individual / group programmes
• Administration, audit, research and service development

We're Looking For Someone Who Is...

• Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent
• BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited
• Preferably experienced in health care and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role
• Passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Qualified to Master's degree level or higher in Psychology (preferable)
