Job summary

Galliford Try Group is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join the Southern Water team in the Falmer area. You will support a Project Manager with planning, execution and monitoring to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The role blends admin and project tasks on larger, complex projects under supervision, with opportunities to develop skills in planning, reporting and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
• Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development of project plans, timelines and resource allocation.
• Organise and delegate tasks, track progress and ensure deliverables are met.
• Maintain communication with team members, stakeholders and vendors; facilitate meetings.
• Provide administrative support, manage project documentation, reports and scheduling.
• Collect and analyse project data to track progress and identify issues.
• Assist in identifying risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor expenses and ensure adherence to the budget.
• Help ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
• Collaborate with the project manager to resolve issues.
