Role Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join our team delivering transformative flood risk management projects across Cumbria & Lancashire and Greater Manchester, Merseyside & Cheshire.

You will join our project delivery teams, assisting other Project Managers with medium-high complexity workstreams or managing your own lower complexity workstream. You will be involved at various project lifecycle stages, from appraisal & feasibility to detailed design, construction, and handover.

You will be part of a collaborative group including our supply partners, client representatives, and technical specialists. You will develop skills in project, commercial, contract, and risk management. Activities may include data management, researching flood risk areas, setting up new projects, using project management systems, attending site visits, and public meetings.

You will learn how to apply environmental legislation, policies, and guidance to benefit communities and the environment.

This role is suitable for individuals with some project delivery experience seeking to develop further project management skills.

All new joiners are required to undertake training and participate in incident response duties, which support communities and protect the environment. Further details are in your candidate pack.
