Job summary

Keyman is recruiting an Assistant Project Manager on a long-term contract. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will help manage project programmes, coordinate with contractors and subcontractors, and ensure work is delivered safely and to a high standard.

You should have CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid, plus excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and be computer literate. This role focuses on site-based programme control and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• CSCS Card required.
• SMSTS qualification required.
• First Aid certification preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Candidates must be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the programme deadlines are achieved.
• Assist contractors and subcontractors to understand required program dates.
• Ensure all building operations comply with health and safety standards; review method statements and risk assessments; complete checklists.
• Conduct toolbox talks and health & safety training, including site inductions and training as necessary.
• Ensure all works are carried out to the highest standards of quality.

The Client

Our client is a very successful Contractor who is currently recruiting an Assistant Project Manager on a long term contract after winning some major projects.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager your responsibilities will include

• Ensure that the programme deadlines are achieved
• Assist the contractors and subcontractors to ensure they have a full understanding of the required program dates
• Ensure that all building operations are carried out in line with current health and safety standards and that all method statements and risk assessments have been reviewed and checklists completed
• Conduct and monitor tool box meetings, health & safety training, including site inductions and site training are conducted as necessary
• Ensure that all works are carried out to the highest standards of quality
