  • Assisting with project planning, programming and progress monitoring.
  • Preparing and updating CAD drawings and technical documentation.
  • Producing risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
  • Reviewing construction drawings, specifications and project requirements.
  • Coordinating materials, procurement, deliveries and site resources.
  • Liaising with main contractors, clients, suppliers and site teams.
  • Supporting the coordination of subcontractors and installation activities.
  • Monitoring project costs, variations and budgets.
  • Maintaining accurate project records and preparing progress reports.
  • Helping resolve technical issues and ensuring projects remain on programme.
  • Supporting quality control, health and safety compliance and project handover.
  • Developing the skills and experience required to progress into a Project Manager role.
About You

We're looking for someone with some construction industry exposure who is keen to build a long‑term career in project management.

You could be a Site Engineer, Trainee Project Manager, Assistant Site Manager, Construction Coordinator or someone in a technical construction role looking for a new challenge.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • Some experience within construction, whether site‑based, technical or project‑related.
  • An understanding of construction drawings and how projects are delivered.
  • Good IT skills and familiarity with CAD software.
  • An awareness of RAMS, health and safety documentation and site procedures.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors and colleagues.
  • A proactive approach to problem‑solving and the confidence to use your initiative.
  • A willingness to learn, take responsibility and develop professionally.
  • A relevant construction qualification or equivalent practical experience.
The Opportunity
  • A permanent position with an established specialist construction contractor.
  • Exposure to varied commercial construction projects across the UK.
  • Hands‑on experience across technical design, procurement, site delivery and commercial management.
  • Support from an experienced project management team.
  • A genuine opportunity to progress into a Project Manager position.
