Job description

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Project Delivery team at our Burntwood site, with hybrid working options available. The role reports to the Project Manager and involves working on a £16 million wastewater treatment plant project.

The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in various duties, including project governance, supply chain management, client communication, and ensuring health, safety, quality, and environmental standards are met. The role also involves acting as the Deputy to the Project Manager and supporting client liaison.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in ensuring compliance with legal and industry standards.
• Support health and safety management arrangements.
• Administer the Project Management Plan and ensure quality assurance.
• Deploy the Business Management System.
• Ensure staff training and experience meet project requirements.
• Understand client contracts and manage supply chain notifications.
• Monitor project costs and manage internal design costs.
• Proficiently use client’s digital platforms.
• Communicate project outputs effectively to the team.
• Manage stakeholder accountability and escalate issues as needed.
• Maintain quality management and client KPIs.
• Lead project governance and assist in resource planning.
• Support site progress reporting and represent the PM at client meetings.

About The Candidate

Essential: HND/HNC or equivalent, H&S qualifications (SMSTS/IOSH/NEBOSH), member of relevant professional body, experience with multidisciplinary projects, stakeholder management, excellent communication, self-motivated, leadership skills, full driving license.

Desirable: Water treatment plant experience, digital delivery tools knowledge.
