Job summary

Ann Summers is seeking an organised Assistant Hardgoods Product Technologist to support safe, compliant and high-quality products from concept to launch. Hybrid work: 2 days at head office in Whyteleafe and 3 days from home, with flexi hours.

You will coordinate testing, maintain compliance files and liaise with internal teams and suppliers. Reporting to the Hardgoods Product Technologist, you’ll help with testing, data management and regulatory compliance while driving timely product launches

Qualifications

• Experience as Technical/Compliance Administrator or Assistant Product Technologist.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Good administration and data management capabilities.
• Ability to work across teams and with external suppliers.
• Interest in product technology, compliance, quality or development.
• Affinity with the Ann Summers brand and values.

• Support the Hardgoods Product Technologist across product categories.

• Support sealing and approval processes to meet technical standards.
• Manage product data in internal systems and track critical path deadlines.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality, consistency and compliance.
• Assist with product investigations and continuous quality improvements.
• Address customer queries and feed feedback for improvements.
• Build relationships with Buying, Merchandising and wider teams.

Based at our Head Office in Whyteleafe, Surrey (CR3 0GG), just outside of Croydon.

Hybrid working, 2 days at head office and 3 days working from home, plus flexi core hours.

We're looking for an organised and detail-focused Assistant Hardgoods Product Technologist to support the development of safe, compliant and high-quality products. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders you'll coordinate product testing, maintain compliance documentation and support products throughout their journey from concept to launch.

The role:

As an Assistant Hardgoods Product Technologist, you'll report to the Hardgoods Product Technologist and work closely with our Buying, Merchandising and supplier partners. You'll play an important role in ensuring our products are safe, compliant and delivered to the highest quality standards.

• Supporting the Hardgoods Product Technologist across multiple product categories.
• Coordinating product testing, compliance and certification activities.
• Supporting the implementation of compliance and labelling requirements.
• Maintaining accurate technical files, compliance records and product workbooks.
• Supporting the product sealing and approval process to ensure technical standards are met and documented.
• Managing and maintaining product data within internal systems.
• Tracking technical critical path deadlines and helping ensure products launch on time.
• Working closely with suppliers to support product quality, consistency and compliance.
• Assisting with product investigations, quality improvements and issue resolution.
• Supporting customer queries and sharing feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Building strong relationships with Buying, Merchandising and wider business teams to support successful product delivery.
• Assisting with compliance requirements including UKCA/CE, REACH, RoHS, GPSR and Electrical Safety regulations.
• Be a true brand ambassador, championing our Ann Summers values at all times

You'll be great if you

• Have previous experience as an Technical/Compliance Administrator, Assistant Product Technologist or Product Development Administrator, ideally in the hardgood, electrical, beauty or medicalindustry.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
• Strong administration and data management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external suppliers.
• An interest in product technology, compliance, quality or product development.
• An affinity with our brand, products and values
