Job summary

Harris Academy Beulah Hill is seeking an outstanding leader to join us as Assistant Principal. You will support the strategic and operational management, development and leadership of Harris Academy Beulah Hill, and ensure the achievement of our ethos, aims and objectives.

The successful candidate will demonstrate QTS (or equivalent) with extensive teaching experience, particularly A level teaching in Sciences, Maths and Further Maths, and a proven track record in leadership, improvement

Qualifications

• QTS (or equivalent) and a good undergraduate degree.
• Extensive teaching experience including A level in Sciences, Maths and Further Maths.
• Outstanding teaching practice.
• Experience as Head of Department or SLT member.
• Experience of writing department SEF.
• Experience of lesson observations and giving feedback.
• Experience of improvement planning.
• Track record of raising student achievement with evidence.
• Developing relationships with students, parents, staff and Governing Body to build consensus.

• Proven track record of managing and implementing change in relation to teaching practices and standards
