Job summary

Ormiston Endeavour Academy in Ipswich is seeking an Assistant Principal - Teaching and Learning to lead the strategic development of teaching across the Academy and champion evidence-informed practice. You will design and lead a whole-school coaching programme, develop colleagues at every career stage, and ensure high standards of teaching, learning and assessment across all curriculum areas.

Qualifications

Significant and successful secondary teaching experience with a track record of improving teaching and learning.
Experience leading whole-school or cross-school improvement initiatives, including designing and delivering high-quality professional development.
Strong coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and develop colleagues at every career stage.
Ability to translate educational research into practical, evidence-informed classroom approaches.

Responsibilities

Lead the strategic development of teaching and learning across the Academy, championing evidence-informed practice and driving continuous improvement in classroom practice that is already strong.
Design and lead a whole-school instructional coaching programme and support colleagues at every career stage to strengthen their practice.
Ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning and assessment embedded across all curriculum areas, working with middle and senior leaders to remove barriers to achievement.
