Job summary

Ormiston Endeavour Academy in Ipswich is seeking an Assistant Principal - Teaching and Learning to lead strategic development of teaching and learning across the academy, champion evidence-informed practice and drive continuous improvement in classroom practice.

You will design and lead a whole-school instructional coaching programme, support colleagues at every career stage to strengthen their practice, and ensure high standards of teaching, learning and assessment across the curriculum.

• Significant secondary teaching experience with a track record of improving learning and student outcomes.
• Experience leading whole-school improvement initiatives and delivering high-quality professional development.

At Ormiston Endeavour Academy, we believe every student deserves outstanding teaching, every day. As Assistant Principal - Teaching and Learning, you will work alongside the Principal and Senior Leadership Team to lead the strategic development of teaching and learning across the Academy, championing evidence-informed practice and driving continuous improvement in classroom practice that is already strong.

You will design and lead a whole-school instructional coaching programme, support colleagues at every career stage to strengthen their practice, and ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning and assessment are embedded across every curriculum area. Working closely with middle and senior leaders, you will help remove barriers to achievement and secure excellent outcomes for all students, whatever their starting point.

Due to the continued growth and popularity of the school, we are seeking to expand our leadership capacity through the appointment of an Assistant Principal. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious leader to join our Senior Leadership Team and contribute to the school's ongoing success.

You Will Have

• Significant and successful secondary teaching experience, with a proven track record of improving teaching and learning and raising student achievement.
• Experience of leading whole-school or cross-school improvement initiatives, including designing and delivering high-quality professional development.
• Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire, influence and develop colleagues at every career stage.
• The ability to translate educational research into practical, evidence-informed classroom approaches.
