Job summary

Lift New Rickstones is seeking an exceptional Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning to join our Senior Leadership Team and take strategic responsibility for securing consistently high quality teaching and learning across the school. You will lead the development, implementation and evaluation of our Teaching and Learning strategy, working with leaders to raise classroom practice, curriculum delivery and assessment, and to build capacity for future improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong classroom practitioner with proven progress outcomes for all students
• Experience as a middle leader delivering school improvement
• Ability to lead improvements in Teaching and Learning across departments or whole school
• Strong instructional leadership with coaching and high expectations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders
• Collaborative, reflective and analytical leadership approach
• Degree, PGCE and QTS are essential

Responsibilities

• Lead the school's Teaching and Learning strategy with demonstrable impact on practice and outcomes
• Provide strategic leadership to middle and subject leaders to improve teaching quality
• Develop, implement and evaluate evidence-informed approaches to teaching and learning
• Develop a clear, evidence-informed model of effective teaching
• Oversee high-quality professional development and CPD responsive to needs
• Cultivate instructional coaching and deliberate practice across career stages
• Lead a rigorous quality assurance programme to identify strengths and priorities for improvement
• Work with curriculum leaders to ensure assessment is purposeful and informs teaching
• Analyse student progress and staff data to inform improvement
