Job summary

Lift New Rickstones, part of Lift Schools, is seeking a passionate Maths Teacher to join the established department. You will deliver engaging lessons, plan schemes of work, assess and support progress, and contribute to curriculum development.

The role requires a relevant degree, QTS, and a commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusion. You will work with colleagues, support staff and families to secure positive outcomes for students.

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant discipline and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Secure knowledge of Maths and the relevant curriculum areas.
• A strong understanding of effective teaching, learning and assessment.
• The ability to set consistently high expectations and adapt teaching to meet individual needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A commitment to professional development, safeguarding, equality and inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons with clear learning objectives and appropriate challenge.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND, high prior attainment and EAL.
• Use formative and summative assessment and effective feedback to identify strengths, address misconceptions and support progress.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, schemes of work and suitable assessments across the Maths curriculum.
• Set high expectations for learning and behaviour, creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and families to secure positive outcomes for students.
