Job summary

Oasis Academy Wintringham in Grimsby seeks an inspirational leader for the Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Principal and SENDCO. You will shape inclusive practices, drive school improvement and ensure exceptional support for students with additional needs.

The role requires outstanding leadership, QTS, and a passion for equity in education, with a focus on improving outcomes for all learners. You will lead a SEND team and collaborate with families and external agencies.

• QT S required to teach and lead in a whole-school context.

• Specialist SEND knowledge and ability to champion inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership as Assistant Principal and SENDCO within the Senior Leadership Team.
• Lead and develop the SEND provision and SEND team to improve student outcomes.

A Leadership Role with Purpose

As Assistant Principal, you will play a key role in the strategic leadership of the academy, working alongside the Principal and Senior Leadership Team to drive school improvement and deliver outstanding outcomes for all students.

As our SENDCO, you will lead and develop a highly effective SEND provision that enables every learner to achieve success. You'll champion inclusion, ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice, and work collaboratively with families, staff and external agencies to create exceptional support for students with additional needs. This is an opportunity to:

• Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with Qualified Teacher Status.

• Uses data intelligently to drive improvement and inform decision making.
• Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

SENDCO experience or relevant SEND qualifications would be highly advantageous.
