Job description

The Role:

We are seeking an Assistant Practitioner to join the Speech and Language Therapy (Adult Service) team at University Hospital Wishaw.

The successful candidate will assist in implementing therapy programs under the supervision of a Speech and Language Therapist across various locations and client groups.

Note: Duties and locations may vary based on client needs and service demands.

Contract Details:

Band 4 / Permanent / Part Time / 18.5 hours

Working hours: Monday and Friday, between 8 am - 5 pm (hours to be agreed).

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge of relevant health legislation and clinical processes

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Membership of RCSLT
  • LSVT Certification
  • Experience with adults with neurological issues and in Videofluoroscopy clinics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of AAC & Boardmaker
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
