Job summary

Clyde & Co (SMS) Limited is seeking an Assistant Team Leader in the Motor department, based in Glasgow/Edinburgh. You will report to the Team Leader and oversee a team of Case Handlers while maintaining a caseload of litigated files.

You will drive a high-performance culture, mentor staff, and ensure efficient, compliant delivery of services. Prior supervisory and RTA litigation experience is required, with a focus on quality and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is required.
• Experience supervising/mentoring team members is desirable.
• Litigation experience in RTA is advantageous.
• Strong liability experience is beneficial.
• Experience working with SLAs and quality assurance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing motor case-handling team; coach and manage performance.
• Triaged allocation of cases and monitor caseloads to optimise throughput.
• Manage monthly MI and billing submissions; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain own caseload of higher value files while supporting the team.
• Collaborate with senior management and other departments to drive continuous improvement.
