Description
As Disturbia continues to grow, the need has arisen to hire an Assistant Merchandiser. You will be a key part of the Merchandising team to ensure the right product is in the right place, at the right time. Your role will involve analyzing data, managing stock levels, and optimizing product availability to drive sales and profitability. Working closely with Buying, Merchandising, Design, E-commerce, and Marketing teams, you will assist in trading and planning decisions to enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales reporting on a daily and weekly basis, assisting with trade analysis, and identifying opportunities and risks, including suggestions for repeats, cancellations, and markdowns, with implications on margin and profitability.
- Weekly analysis on returns, sizing, and pricing.
- Analysis of global brand performance by region, country, and category, focusing on sales, stock, and on-order balance.
- Propose actions to improve slow-moving stock, including markdowns and promotions.
- Update WSSIs and line card data, support forecasting.
- Work with buying team to maintain the critical path.
- Maintain range plans, business roll-ups, and support purchase order processes.
- Update delivery schedules and forecast business intake to meet targets.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly hindsight reports and lessons learned to inform business decisions.
- Create insightful historical analyses for strategy and planning.
- Support cross-functional data needs.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- Excellent Excel skills, experience with reporting tools, line cards, WSSIs, trade reporting, and forecasting.
- Experience in a fast-paced, head office trading environment.
- Interest in fashion and passion for data and numbers.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and proactive problem solver.
- Excellent communication skills.
- At least 3 years of experience in a fashion retail head office, with some experience at Assistant Merchandiser level preferred.
