Job summary

Pet Family Limited is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Pets Corner store in Reading West. You will lead a busy team, deliver outstanding customer service, and drive sales while maintaining store standards and inventory. This role offers training and development within a family‑like business with 150+ stores nationwide.

The position is permanent, part-time (27 hours/week), with a salary of £12.87 per hour. A supporting benefits package includes staff discounts and a bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a retail environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop with the Pets Corner Curriculum.
• Ability to motivate and train colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and go the extra mile for customers.
• Recommending the right products and services to meet customer needs.
• Maximise store performance by identifying improvements and leading by example.
• Open/close the store and manage stock, pricing, promotions and merchandising.
