Job summary

Frasers Group, Birmingham, is seeking an Assistant Manager for a New Club Opening with full-time responsibilities and a leadership remit. You will drive sales, service and operational excellence, acting as the face of Everlast Gyms on the gym floor and reception while building a high-performing team.

You’ll own KPIs, develop staff, and ensure premium member experiences. The role requires resilience, a proactive mindset, and a focus on safety and standards across FUNDAMENTALS, ASCEND, MOVE

Qualifications

• Leadership experience with ability to recruit and develop a high-performing team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a member-first mindset.
• Commercial awareness with drive to exceed targets.
• Flexibility to work varied hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Desirable Level 2 Fitness Qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a high-performing team and provide regular feedback.
• Own revenue lines: memberships, PT, and secondary spend to maximise profitability.
• Create a welcoming, premium member experience.
• Oversee sales and operational processes, delivering company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentation on shift and off.
• Adapt to challenges and support the team through change.
• Manage policies, Health & Safety, and pool plant operations in line with guidelines.

This is a full-time leadership role, accountable for the overall performance and daily running of your club. You’ll set the tone for excellence across sales, service, and operations, driving all commercial areas while delivering an exceptional experience for every member, every visit.

As the face of Everlast Gyms, you’ll lead by example on the gym floor and reception, own high standards in every area, and inspire your team to deliver results. With a sharp eye for detail and a fearless, solutions-driven mindset, you’ll take full ownership of KPIs, people development, and operational consistency.
