Job description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, dynamic organization. We are seeking an Assistant Manager with at least 4 years of experience in corporate insolvency to join our established team in the London office. The role will primarily involve a mixture of Liquidations and Administrations.

Leonard Curtis is a market-leading professional services provider operating across the UK and Channel Islands. Since our formation, we've supported business owners and advisors by listening and offering practical solutions and tailored advice. Our team of specialists delivers strategic advice across restructuring, insolvency, funding, and law, with 29 offices making us the largest independent restructuring firm in the UK.

We foster an environment that empowers you to express yourself, build confidence in your abilities, and develop your career.

Specific duties and responsibilities include:
  • Engaging in client meetings from initial contact, with some responsibility for driving cases to appointment date.
  • Managing cases from commencement/handover to closure, including statutory reporting to stakeholders.
  • Managing multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Possessing experience and understanding of corporate insolvency procedures, particularly Administrations and CVLs.
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance.
  • Handling additional ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Making autonomous decisions within responsibilities.
  • Managing and mentoring junior staff.
  • Building relationships with internal and external professionals.
Skills required:
  • Over 4 years of corporate insolvency experience, including multiple processes.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to identify and address high-risk issues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Capability to manage competing priorities across a varied case portfolio.
  • Team player with strong organizational skills.
  • Proactive, able to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • An accountancy or insolvency qualification is desirable but not required, given the analysis and financial data preparation involved.
What we will offer you:
  • 25 days holiday plus statutory public holidays.
  • Opportunity to study for fully funded professional qualifications.
  • Contributory pension scheme (3% employer contribution).
  • Flexible benefits and well-being programs.
  • Enhanced sick pay and family-friendly policies, including maternity pay.
  • 36.25-hour workweek.
