Job summary

Interpath is seeking an Assistant Manager for its Financial Services M&A Advisory team in the UK. The role focuses on deal execution, financial modelling, valuation, data analysis, and project management within a cross-functional team.

You will contribute to each stage of the transaction process—from pitch decks and financial modelling to drafting IMs, due diligence, and deal structuring—while working closely with senior colleagues and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in M&A advisory or related transactions environment.
• Understanding of financial statements; financial modelling will be tested during hiring.
• Preference for knowledge of banking, lending, fintech or insurance in Financial Services.
• Loan data tapes analysis experience is a plus.
• Excellent Excel modelling ability; build high quality models from scratch.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in execution of M&A transactions in Financial Services.
• Work on multiple deals concurrently.
• Perform financial, strategic analyses and sector research.
• Analyse large, complex data sets and provide client insights.
• Prepare data and marketing materials to support a transaction process.
• Prepare client presentations in a clear and compelling manner.
• Support Due Diligence processes.
• Help maintain a database of potential buyers, sellers, and situations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with senior staff and clients.
