Job summary

Fuller’s pub The Hampshire Hog in Clanfield seeks an Assistant Manager (Bar) to lead daily service, manage a busy bar and cellar, and drive excellent guest experiences. You’ll play a key role in stock, standards and team development within a supportive, customer‑focused culture.

Ideal candidates are hands-on leaders with strong communication, enjoy a fast-paced setting, and are keen to grow with industry-leading training and Wagestream pay options.

Qualifications

• Line cleans: weekly maintenance of beer/dispense lines.
• Stock rotation to minimise waste and ensure quality.
• Weekly bar orders must be accurate and timely.
• Cellar procedures must meet standards and food safety requirements.

What we look for in an Assistant Manager (Bar Manager):

• Line cleans : Take ownership of weekly line cleaning, ensuring all beer and dispense lines are cleaned consistently weekly.
  Stock take : Complete monthly stock take as well as a weekly stock line check ensuring all bar stock is correctly counted, recorded, and reconciled, while identifying any variances.
• Stock rotation : Maintain excellent stock rotation, minimising waste and ensuring product quality.
• Weekly ordering : Manage weekly bar orders accurately, balancing stock levels, and upcoming events.
• Cellar Management : Keep the cellar organised, clean, and well maintained.
• Standards and compliance : Ensure all cellar and bar procedures meet company standards and food safety requirements.
• A hands-on leader with the ability to manage the day-to-day running of the business.
