Job summary

Fuller’s The Hampshire Hog is seeking an Assistant Manager (Bar Manager) to lead daily pub operations in a busy, guest-focused environment. The role involves hands-on leadership of bar teams, line cleaning, stock rotation, weekly ordering, and cellar upkeep to ensure superior service and compliance.

You will drive standards, train staff, and deliver exceptional guest experiences, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, communication, and efficiency while enjoying Fuller's rewards and development

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead a busy bar team

Responsibilities

• Line cleans: take ownership of weekly line cleaning to ensure beer and dispense lines are clean
• Stock rotation: maintain stock rotation and minimise waste
• Weekly ordering: manage weekly bar orders and stock levels
• Cellar management: keep cellar organised, clean, and well maintained
• Standards and compliance: ensure bar procedures meet company standards and food safety requirements
• Hands-on leadership: mentor and manage day-to-day running of the business

What we look for in an Assistant Manager (Bar Manager):

• Line cleans : Take ownership of weekly line cleaning, ensuring all beer and dispense lines are cleaned consistently weekly.
  Stock take : Complete monthly stock take as well as a weekly stock line check ensuring all bar stock is correctly counted, recorded, and reconciled, while identifying any variances.
• Stock rotation : Maintain excellent stock rotation, minimising waste and ensuring product quality.
• Weekly ordering : Manage weekly bar orders accurately, balancing stock levels, and upcoming events.
• Cellar Management : Keep the cellar organised, clean, and well maintained.
