Job summary

Clarks in Taunton is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading our retail team and driving daily operations.

This hands-on leadership role requires a proactive approach to customer service, KPI focus, and seamless store management in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will inspire colleagues and help achieve performance goals while delivering a great shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail leadership, supervisory, or keyholder roles.
• Comfortable driving KPIs and results.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead a team.
• Flexibility to work a 7-day shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems, inventory management, and MS Office/Google Workspace tools.

About the role:

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in leading our retail team and driving daily operations. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can step in wherever needed to ensure the store runs smoothly and meets performance goals.

• Previous experience in retail leadership, supervisory, or keyholder roles preferred.
• Comfortable in driving KPI’s and results.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team.

• Strong communication and Solid organizational and problem-solving abilities.

• Flexibility to work a7-day shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
