Job summary

Wakefield Council is seeking a capable manager to lead the supported living service for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs living in the community. The role focuses on promoting independence, rights, and inclusion while delivering day-to-day operational support for tenants.

You will oversee induction, probation, supervision, and learning and development for staff, manage rotas, and ensure policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Induct, probation, supervision, and staff development in line with Council policy.
• Manage staff rotas and implement policy and procedure.
• Share responsibility for up to 100 staff in the Manager's absence.
• Accountable for safe management of tenants' finances including cash, cheques, direct debits and invoices.
• Regular financial audits.

Job description

To work effectively as part of the management team for the supported living service supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs as tenants in their own homes in the community, promoting independence, choice, rights and inclusion., To undertake the day to day operational responsibilities for tenants supporting the individuals to live independently in the community.

• Accountability for the safe management of expenditure and income for tenants, including cash, cheques, direct debits, invoices, in relation to their personal finances.
• Regular financial audits.
