Aramark UK is searching for an Assistant Manager to supervise service-related activities and line management of the team, sitting within the Education division. This role provides an exciting opportunity to assist the General Manager in the day-to-day running of one of our central London sites.

This role is predominantly Mon-Fri with some evening and weekend work required for hospitality events.

A day in the life of an Assistant Manager:
  • Lead and support a dynamic team to ensure top service and performance
  • Manage recruitment, training, and development, nurturing future leaders
  • Oversee stock control, audits and compliance with cleanliness and safety standards
  • Handle customer feedback, drive sales and implement marketing initiatives
  • Ensure staff are knowledgeable about menus, promotions and POS systems
  • Take charge of scheduling, payroll and P&L management
  • Step in for the manager when needed
  • Support special events and maintain smooth daily operations
You'll be set up for success if you have:
  • 2-3 years of experiences in contract catering (especially if in a Higher Education setting)
  • Knowledge if applicable Health & Safety legislation
  • Experience leading and motivating a team
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to work with bespoke software applications
  • A passion to provide outstanding customer service
  • Fresh ideas to inspire and improve the experience
