Job summary

The Duke of York in Barnet is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead our busy pub team, welcome guests and ensure smooth service during peak hours and events.

You’ll help decide what beers and wines to serve, train and supervise bar and dining staff, run special events, and drive great guest experiences. The role includes on-shift meals, staff discounts, pension, life assurance and cycle-to-work options.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality management or supervisory role.
• Strong people leadership and training skills.
• Excellent guest service and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train the bar/waiting team during service.

About you...

As Assistant Manager you'll be at the heart of our management team helping to ensure the smooth running of our busy pub. You'll be welcoming and looking after customers, helping to train and lead our lovely bar/waiting team, managing busy services and running special events. You'll also be involved in deciding what beers to have on tap, which gins and wines we serve and what events to run.
